Download Voz for macOS

Or build it yourself — source on GitHub

What you're getting

One app, batteries included. The download is bigger than most utilities because the speech model ships inside it — that's the whole point.

Requirements

macOS 13 Ventura or later
Apple Silicon for the fast path — Intel works, a beat slower
About 170 MB of disk once installed
A microphone you already own

In the box

The Voz menu-bar app
Whisper base, on-device — 141 MB of model
Sixteen languages with auto-detection
Signed with a Developer ID and notarized by Apple

Not in the box

An installer that phones home
A login screen
A subscription
Your audio, going anywhere

What $2.99 buys

$2.99, once. That's the entire commercial relationship.
